Massage Therapy is now approved to reopen in Texas. We are following all State Health and Safety Protocols including wearing masks inside the office, calling upon arrival and waiting to be walked in the office, longer times in between clients, and frequent hand washing and disinfecting of surfaces.
Kristin White, LMT graduated from the Texas School of Massage in 2010 and received her license in 2011. She chose a career in massage therapy because she loves to help people and she is able to do so everyday with her practice in Galveston, TX.
Kristin uses a variety of massage techniques to help her client obtain their goals of increased range of motion, relief from pain, and reducing stress. Her modalities include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Prenatal, and Reiki.
Each massage session is customized to the individual client's needs. There is no upcharge for different modalities and each session is charged by length of therapy.
Swedish Massage is the most popular type of massage in the United States. It involves the use of hands, forearms or elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles to improve mental and physical health. Active or passive movement of the joints may also be part of the massage. Perfect if you really need to relax.
Deep Tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
Trigger Point Therapy is a bodywork technique that involves the application of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body. It may also be called myofascial (myo meaning muscle, fascial meaning connective tissue) trigger point.
Prenatal Massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.
